If I've said this once I've said it a thousand. You do NOT need an agent to go forward with your writing career. They certainly help and, if one approaches you, you should bette them and then see what they have to offer. But, if you don't have an agent now and seem unlikely to get one soon, there is no reason for your writing career to be stillborn or even stalled. Here is the first link for spec fic writers (Scifi, horror, fantasy, romance, etc) that will provide REAL venues to submit your books and stories without an agent. RALANplease remember this: if a publisher gives you submission guidelines, FOLLOW THEM. Do not thick your writing is so stellar that you can do away with their approved format. If they want only snail mail subs, then print your story and snail mail it. DO NOT deluge editors with emails and attachments. FOLLOW ALL GUIDELINES to the letter. More links to come. I hope not just from me.
